Circle of Five began just 4 years ago we started by travelling around many shows and craft fairs.
As you will see, all our stock had been crafted by ourselves, with the exception of the gringo clothing range, with the wood and slate even being locally sourced. After 2 years we had received such positive feedback we decided the time was right to open our first shop!
We didn’t take the search lightly, we knew what we wanted and kept looking until the right place appeared, and it didn’t take long. We chose a lovely shop in what seemed to be a sleepy rarely used middle road called Belle Vue lane. It sits quaintly between the two main high streets. It just felt right for us, the energy was good.
We wanted to continue the craft shows we thought this would be a good static base for us, but the more time we spent in the shop, and crafting to fill it, we knew that we needed to make ourselves known to locals foremost and also to holiday makers many of whom are frequent yearly visitors. Within the first 6 months we were so busy we couldn’t commit to selling at any more shows and now over two years on the only event we attend is the local Christmas Fair show at the Bude Castle.
Now we have added our online gift shop, to bring our customers a bigger range of items which we cannot stock in our Bude shop. We stock cultural and ethnic gifts and home ware and are continually sourcing new products. From this online medium you can contact our crafters in Bude and request custom made products. We encourage you to follow us on Facebook for regular updates and offers.
We have had an amazing journey over these 4 years and met so many amazing beautiful people. Every sale brings us joy, well let’s face it, what greater way to make a living then to share your own craft with others, the love we have for what we do shines through our work, our shops and our conversation, it truly is the only way to share the passion. We hope you enjoy your visit whether its online or in our Bude shop, our family welcome you!
